About Us
Part of the J Leon Group, Ecofirst is a nationwide renewable energy specialist dedicated to the engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance of renewable heat and power systems. We have a strong track record of delivering projects across a wide range of market sectors. Serving domestic and commercial customers and tackling both retrofit and new build installations, our commitment to excellent system design and installation quality is a reassuring constant.
Multi-technology
Unlike many other renewable companies, Ecofirst has embraced both renewable heat and power technologies. This approach reflects our belief that in order to reduce overall energy demand and carbon emissions of a building or a site it is necessary to consider both its heat and power regimes. By offering multiple technologies we are able to select the most appropriate renewable energy solution rather than always trying to make a single, potentially sub-optimal, solution fit the bill.
Design and Engineering
Whilst renewable technologies are becoming more and more popular in the UK, in depth knowledge of their integration with conventional mechanical and electrical services is still limited and this is reflected in the fact that detailed specifications for installations are rare. It is therefore of vital importance that a specialist renewable contractor understands the engineering behind the systems they install and how they integrate with existing services. In recognition of this Ecofirst has its own in-house engineering design team.
Quality
Quality is key for Ecofirst, not only in terms of our system designs and the standard of our installations but also in our pre and post installation customer service. We aim to deliver renewable energy solutions that exceed our customers’ expectations, not just on the day they are commissioned but throughout their operational lifetime.
Ecofirst’s commitment to high quality design and installation expertise is recognised in our accreditations. Under the UK Microgeneration Certification Scheme Ecofirst is an MCS approved installer (MCS1036) of solar photovoltaic systems, biomass heating systems, solar thermal systems and we are in the process of becoming accredited for heat pumps and wind turbines. In addition to the specialist MCS accreditation Ecofirst also holds NICEIC approved electrical contractor status and is a HETAS registered installer.
Health and Safety
Health and Safety is of paramount importance to Ecofirst. Comprehensive health and safety procedures and ongoing training ensure that we operate with the minimum risk to our employees, customers and the general public.
