Chris Huhne Announces Fast Track Feed In Tariff Review Over 50KW

The review will include fast-track consideration of large scale solar photovoltaic projects (over 50kW) with a view to making any resulting changes to tariffs as soon as practical, subject to consultation and Parliamentary scrutiny as required by the Energy Act 2008.

Aidan Morris, MD of Ecofirst responded "This is a setback for the industry and delivers a huge amount of uncertainty in the market, we are lobbying government at all levels both directly and with our industry partners to obtain urgent clarity on this issue" he added "All domestic and commercial projects under 50kW remain unaffected and will continue to receive the feed in tariff as published, Ecofirst has many local and national customers in this market and are confident about the short term outlook despite this announcement"
