Renewable Heat & Power CPD Event

A Renewable Heat & Power CPD Event was hosted by both Ecofirst and our sister company Woodpecker Energy today in Yeovil, Somerset.  It was a free event for all Built Environment professionals committed to continuous professional development or an active interest in renewable energy technology.

Not only were there presentations on Solar PV, Biomass and District Heating but there was also a talk from Ecofirst Consult on Part L of the Building Regulations and the Code for Sustainable Homes, Part L and the Code are the main motivations for renewable energy in new houses and this informative talk provided a context for the wider discussion of solar PV and biomass heating.  After the presentations, we gave a tour of our showroom on site and also of our site in Yeovil, The Glove Factory.

It was an impressive turn out at the event, the audience included delegates from Somerset and Dorset District Council, Yarlington Housing Group and Aster Group Ltd along with many architects from the South West.

The event was a great success and we plan to hold a similar event later in the year.

"I thought you managed the balance of generic CPD-style information about biomass / PV / building standards with information about your own companies very well, which is not easy to do: Congratulations!" - Jon Bird, Energy Efficiency Development Officer for Dorset County Council.
