DECC lose Feed-in Tariff Appeal

The Court of Appeal has denied the DECC’s feed-in tariff appeal against the High Court ruling on Solar PV feed-in tariffs rates in the UK.  The appeal was unanimously rejected by the court of appeal judges. The court judgement means that the feed-in tariff will revert to 43p for systems under 4kw installed until 3rd March 2012.

DECC could still appeal to the Supreme Court.

Which category do you fall under:

My system was installed on or after 12th December  2011 – following the High Court ruling you will now receive the higher tariff rate of 43p per kWh.

I plan on having a system installed before 3rd March 2012 - you will receive the higher rate tariff of 43p per kWh.

I’m going to wait until after 3rd March to have my installation – if you install before 1st April you will receive 43p per kWh until 31st March 2012 and 21p per kWh from 1st April 2012 onwards.

I’m going to wait until after 1st April to have my installation – you will receive 21p per kWh

From 1st April 212 there will be another consultation period regarding the ongoing review of the FIT scheme.
