DECC Update on Solar PV Feed-in Tariffs
DECC announced today that they have laid some draft licence modifications before Parliament. The modifications make provision for the Feed-in Tariff for new solar PV installations to reduce from the 1st April 2012 onwards on all installations fitted on or after 3rd March 2012.
DECC continue to appeal against the High Court decision that regarding the reduction in Feed-in Tariff to 21p affecting installations fitted on or after 12th December 2011.
What does this mean?
DECC wins their appeal.
Installations fitted on or after 12th December 2011 will receive a tariff of 43p per kWh until 31st March 2012. From the 1st April 2012 onwards they will receive 21p per kWh.
DECC lose their appeal.
Installations fitted on or before 2nd March 2012 will receive the 43p Feed-in Tariff rate for 25 years. Installations fitted on or after 3rd March 2012 will receive a tariff of 43p per kWh until 31st March 2012. From the 1st April 2012 onwards they will receive 21p per kWh.

From 1st April 212 there will be another consultation period regarding the ongoing review of the FIT scheme.
