Ecofirst support local charity with referral campaign for renewable energy installations

 

 

Yeovil based renewable energy company Ecofirst are collaborating with local charity Piers Simon Appeal and their School in a Bag their charity for 2012. Ecofirst have pledged to donate £100 to School in a Bag every time an Ecofirst customer refers a friend and that friend installs a Solar Photovoltaic or Wood Biomass system for their home. They hope to donate £10,000 by next year. 

 

"All of us at Ecofirst feel it is vital to help, as much as we can, causes that make a difference to children, both locally and outside of the UK. School in a Bag provides a lot more than bags and stationary for children, they provide the help that children need and deserve to reach their full potential" Ecofirst's CEO Paul Hughes commented.

 

School in a Bag provide school bags filled with essential stationary equipment and learning resources to poor, orphan, vulnerable and disaster affected children throughout the world. So far they have delivered 34,500 SchoolBags to children in areas of Africa and Asia. Charity Liaison Officer, Luke Simon is thrilled to have Ecofirst on board for 2012, “I’m delighted that Ecofirst have chosen to partner with School in a Bag during 2012. The fund raising Ecofirst carry out will be helping to change the future for needy children - we are looking forward to working with them to achieve their fund raising goals.”  

 

The ambitious pledge from Ecofirst will mean the team will not only be experts in fitting solar panels, but experts at packing the 667 SchoolBags they hope to fund!
