Ecofirst Contracts Manager off to run World Scout Jamboree!
Antony Streets, our wonderful Contracts Manager is off for a whole month to help run the 22nd World Scout Jamboree in Rinkaby, Sweden. As part of the contingent support team, he's arranging equipment and logistics in support of the 38,000 scouts attending from around the world. Antony has organised 3,300 gas stoves, 13,200 cooking pots, 30,000kg of potatoes and 1,000 toilets (some parts not so glamorous!). He has been like a child at Christmas over the past few weeks, counting down the days until the big event happens.
Antony is the Ground Scout Leader for the 1st Shaftesbury Scout Group and also Deputy County Commissioner for Dorset and he does this on a voluntary basis which makes us all really proud of him.
Not only does he do all of the above but he is also mates with the truly gorgeous Chief Scout Bear Grylls - I guess there are some perks to this tough job!
We wish Antony well on his adventure and look forward to hearing all about it on his return in August.
Well Done Antony & Good Luck!
