Paul has more than 20 years experience in the renewable energy sector and has been an executive in utility companies in the US and UK as well as renewable energy companies in the UK, US and Canada. Along with his extensive industry experience Paul is a Chartered Accountant and holds an Executive MBA from Ashridge and a BSc (Hons) from Aston University.

Tim Rook CEng MCIBSE, Managing Director, Ecofirst
Tim is a Chartered Building Services Engineer with and one of the UK’s leading specialists in the design of renewable heating systems and their integration with conventional building services. Tim joined Ecofirst in 2009 and now heads up Ecofirst’s in-house engineering team as well as being responsible for health and safety, quality implementation and technical strategy. A former British Army Officer, Tim went on to establish his own renewable energy business (now merged with Ecofirst) and was one of the very first engineers in the country to pass the HETAS biomass course at the renowned Centre for Alternative Technology. 

Joe Wootton, Operations Director, Ecofirst
Joe is a talented and versatile project manager and renewable energy specialist.  He has an outstanding record of delivery in start-up, SME and multinational operations, having led new product development projects in the software, 3G mobile telecommunications and renewable energy sectors.  Joe joined Ecofirst in 2008 and now leads the Ecofirst Operations group, driving the delivery of domestic and commercial renewable heat and power projects and developing operational procedures in support of the company's rapid expansion.  Joe holds a BSc in Environmental GeoScience from the University of Sheffield and a PGDip in Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies from the Centre for Alternative Technology, Graduate School of the Environment.
